Colonel Scott Ruppel

Colonel Scott Ruppel is the Department of the Air Force Director, DAF-MIT Artificial Intelligence Accelerator, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Colonel Ruppel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Course. His past assignments include a heavy focus on logistics and acquisitions. He has served on staff at the Major Command, Headquarters Air Force, and Joint Staff levels. Further, he completed an aircraft maintenance squadron command tour and served as a Materiel Leader in acquisitions. He has deployed three times in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.

Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Ruppel served on the Joint Staff as the Analysis Team Branch Chief in the Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate. In this capacity, Colonel Ruppel advised senior Joint leaders on the development, roll-out, and Congressional review of the Department's annual budget. His team was charged with preparing strategic talking points that communicate the manner in which the budget addresses Joint Force requirements and serves the Joint Warfighter.
