New Leadership at the DAF-MIT AI Accelerator Published Aug. 7, 2024 DAF-MIT AI Accelerator CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Colonel Scott Ruppel takes the helm of the DAF-MIT Artificial Intelligence Accelerator, as the director of the program. As the newly appointed director, he shared his vision for the future and the collaborative endeavors that lay ahead. "I’m very excited to be joining the DAF-MIT AI Accelerator,” Col Ruppel said. “My focus is to empower the Airmen and partners we work with at these world-class institutions to continue the fundamental research on these pioneering technologies." Our collaborations with MIT and Lincoln Laboratory are vital,” Ruppel said. “Together, we will leverage AI to tackle some of the most pressing challenges of our time and find solutions for our Airmen and Guardians." The AI Accelerator leverages universities, small businesses, traditional defense, and non-traditional commercial ventures, collaborating with the Air Force and Space Force to develop and ensure the ethical use of AI technologies for society and the nation.
